The successful candidate will oversee daily residential construction activities, coordinate trades and suppliers, monitor project progress, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved plans and quality standards.This position is suited to a practical, organised and solutions-focused professional who can maintain high construction standards, manage project deadlines and communicate confidently with subcontractors, clients and management.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee daily residential construction activities across assigned sitesCoordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, suppliers and material deliveriesEnsure construction work follows approved plans, specifications and quality standardsMonitor project schedules, workmanship, costs and key milestonesConduct regular site inspections and quality-control checksIdentify construction issues and arrange practical, timely solutionsMaintain accurate site diaries, inspection records and progress reportsProvide clear project updates to management and relevant stakeholdersKeep construction sites organised, secure and compliant with safety requirementsMonitor the availability, storage and appropriate use of construction materialsEnsure compliance with applicable building codes and WHS requirementsSupport the efficient completion, final inspection and handover of projectsRequirementsPrevious experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or in a similar residential construction positionRelevant qualification in Building and Construction, Civil Construction or a related fieldSound knowledge of Victorian building requirements and construction standardsStrong understanding of workplace health and safety practicesAbility to read and interpret building plans, drawings and specificationsExperience coordinating subcontractors, tradespeople and suppliersStrong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage priorities, deadlines and multiple site activitiesExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipBasic computer skills for preparing reports and providing project updatesValid Australian driver’s licence and access to reliable transportValid Construction Induction Card (White Card)Full Australian working rightsAvailability for the complete three-month contract period
